Residential Support Worker – LD / Autism
Quality Protects Children Ltd, has been working for over 25 years within the North West, currently specialising in providing a range of services to support young people aged 10 – 18 who may present with complex needs.
We are looking to recruit people with a background in working with and supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties to work within our LD/Autism Young Person’s Home. The provision will provide accommodation for Looked-After Children young people with ASD and associated needs and difficulties. There will be extra pay for personal care for severe learning disabilities children.
Shifts are a mixture of 12 hour day or waking night shifts, with the occasional sleep in shift which can be 9am until 8pm or 8pm until 9.15am (approximately) with a little variation across the sites. You will be contracted to 35 hours per week which equates to around 3 shifts per week and the potential for additional shifts is available.
Rotas are completed a minimum of 4 weeks in advance and are designed to meet the needs of the young people but we can be flexible to meet the needs of our team and understand the work/family balance.
Our children are cared for 365 days of the year within our homes and therefore we need to staff the homes at all times meaning you may be required to work days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
We want to give our young people the best experiences and do this by taking the young people away for extended periods of time to our caravans in Wales as well as other holiday destinations and would like our staff members to be able to share these experiences with them by supporting them on these trips.
Requirements
We are looking to recruit individuals with:
· Experience of working with children, young people and families and who are willing to be part of this exciting service.
· Working knowledge of issues within children’s social work including child care legislation.
· Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with young people and professionals
· Evidence of continued professional development and an NVQ/Diploma 3 Caring for Children and Young People or working towards.

We are looking to recruit people with a background in working with and supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties to work within our homes. The provision will provide accommodation for Looked-After Children, the homes are located in Merseyside.
With this in mind, we are reaching out to different communities within the North West to offer Job opportunities within our multicultural children’s home with the need for people who would like to become part of our team and help advocate and assist with all aspects of cultural and communication needs.
Post holders will be required to work a minimum of 35 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts, including sleep-ins & or waking nights and weekends on a rota basis. Experience of direct work with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties is essential and preferable a Diploma Level 3/4 Children and Young People’s Workforce or recognised professional qualification in therapeutic work with young people.

Residential Support Worker – Sheffield
Quality Protects Children Ltd, has been working for over 25 years within the North West and Sheffield areas, currently specialising in providing a range of services to support young people aged 10 – 18 who may present with complex needs.
All staff work a 2 on 4 off rolling Rota which will include 2 sleep ins and no waking nights.
An example of the Rota schedule is as follows:
· In Wednesday & Thursday off Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Back in on Tuesday & Wednesday etc.
· Sleep ins will be shared equally, one in every 3 set of shifts you will be on a double sleep this will possibly be more frequent due to annual leave or sickness
